Indigenous Perspectives Society (IPS) has been working hard to shift delivery of Aboriginal Social Work (ASW) training to an online format for our participants. Prompted by current pandemic conditions, this has presented the team at IPS an opportunity to bring this training to participants in a completely virtual learning environment. The next cohort will begin the eight-week training program on May 25, 2020. Training course delivery will be a combination of:
- interactive live online lectures
- online individual and small group activities
- participant discussion forums
- self-guided learning exercises, materials and resources
ASW training is designed and offered to support Delegated Aboriginal Agencies to meet their delegation goals and commitments as outlined in individual agreements with the B.C. Ministry of Children and Family Development. IPS has been and remains strongly committed to supporting this process to improve and enhance services to Indigenous families and communities.
