IPS Impact Report
Indigenous Perspectives Society: Centre of Excellence in Community Education (IPS) is both a charitable society and a social enterprise, with a business arm that supports and contributes to positive social impacts and outcomes in Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities. IPS maintains Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accreditation. CARF requires that service providers commit to continuous quality improvement and a focus on the unique needs of each person they serve. CARF accreditation also requires rigorous monitoring and evaluation of services provided, as evidence to demonstrate high quality and standards of services delivered. One way that our team monitors our activity and growth is through quarterly and annual infographs, designed inhouse by Lizz Brooks, IPS Program Development Coordinator. See two examples below:
Strategic Plan Overview 2026-2029
These five goals provide a coherent response to the opportunities now present for the Society. They align our established strengths with the growing demand for Indigenous-led training, the policy shifts created by Bill C-92, and the wider calls for reconciliation and cultural safety. By balancing growth with investments in people, systems, and space, and by further diversifying revenues, the plan ensures the Society can continue to advance its mission with credibility, resilience, and care.
1. Strengthen Leadership in Indigenous Child and Family Services Training.
2. Build organizational capacity in people, systems, and technology to sustain quality at scale.
3. Expand culturally relevant training offerings responsive to community and sector demand.
4. Maximize use of current facilities while preparing for future space needs.
5. Diversify and Stabilize revenue to sustain mission impact and independence.
IPS promotes and supports the implementation of the Truth & Reconciliation Calls to Action and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, through the trainings and services we provide, IPS actively demonstrates our ongoing commitment to this work and upholding our IPS values.
