Objectives
The Indigenous Perspectives Society (IPS) is pleased to offer two streams of funding twice a year under the Linda Lucas Legacy Award: the Paddle fund up to $500, and the Canoe fund up to $2,000. These funds support Indigenous youth in revitalizing and sustaining their cultural practices. These awards are honouring the legacy of our former leader, and cherished friend, the late Linda Lucas.
In line with Linda’s values and leadership, these awards aim to empower young people by providing financial support for
initiatives that promote Indigenous culture, relationship building, knowledge transfer, and overall wellness.
Eligibility
Funds are available to Indigenous youth from childhood to 34 years of age living in British Columbia.
