This one and a half day training provides an overview of financial elements that all non-profit leaders should know, to ensure their organization remains financially healthy. The training will increase participants knowledge of overall financial management and accounting processes. Learning outcomes will include:
- Understanding the differences between charities, non-profits and for profits
- Maintaining charitable status
- Accounting basics
- Internal controls and cash flow
- Liability and depreciation
- Preparing and working with budgets
- Audits and risk management
Indigenous Perspectives Society delivers training throughout British Columbia and across Canada. This training is provided to the public and is also offered privately, to interested groups of 10 or more participants. *Payments to IPS can be made by cheque, EFT, money order or by credit card online via PayPal. Refunds are available before training begins and within the first week of longer programs. Tuition receipts are available on request.
