An IPS Discovery Session introduces the history and goals of reconciliation, including the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action, and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP).  An IPS Discovery Session allows participants to reflect on their own role in the transformative processes occurring in our communities throughout British Columbia and across Canada.

Along with an overview of both provincial and federal government policy directions, organizational and individual knowledge needs are discussed. Discovery Session participants have the opportunity to learn more about the topics in Indigenous Perspectives Society’s Reconciliation from an Indigenous Perspective training offerings.

Indigenous Perspectives Society: Centre of Excellence in Community Education delivers training throughout British Columbia and across Canada. This training is provided to the public and is also offered privately, to interested groups of 10 or more participants.
