Ending Violence: Passing the Torch
This one day workshop is designed to engage youth within the community in the process of addressing family violence. As the leaders of the future and the next generation of knowledge keepers, equipped with the right tools, skills and information youth can begin to educate their peers about violence. How youth in particular can take creative steps to address and eliminate violence in their communities.
Topics covered are:
- History and Impacts of colonization and how that has led to a culture of violence, specifically with Indigenous youth
- Strategies for youth addressing family violence
- Life Skill Development
- Social Skill Development
Indigenous Perspectives Society delivers training throughout British Columbia and across Canada. To accommodate your learning needs, please contact us at your earliest convenience to inquire about our availability for your desired training. IPS requires at least 1 month of preparation after contract signing.
Payments can be made by cheque or money order at Indigenous Perspectives Society and credit card online via PayPal. Refunds are available before training begins and within the first week for programs. Tuition receipts are available on request.
