Reporting to the Resources Manager, the Team Leader is responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of the Resources Recruitment team, providing leadership and coordination to team activities. The Supervisor has responsibility to plan, develop, manage, coordinate, and evaluate the delivery of services within the context of a Resources Recruitment team. The Team Leader is directly accountable for the quality of service to clients and for setting and monitoring standards in a manner that is culturally sensitive to Indigenous people. Provides direct Restorative Supervision and coaching to workers in the Resources Recruitment team. Provides vision, direction, guidance and leadership to his/her direct reports and others. This Team Leader is responsible for Intake, overseeing of effective placement of children and youth for emergency, short-term, long-term, respite and child-specific placements. This position may be reassigned to a Case Management Resources Team Leader position based on operational needs of the program.

Exhibits good working knowledge of Child, Family and Community Services Act, related legislation, policies, provincial and government systems including a clear understanding of risk factors relating to the protection of children in all environments. Demonstrates a practical working knowledge of related theories, principles, techniques, and practice directions relating to recruitment of new resources, including family homes, contracted care givers, specialized placement, and respite/relief providers. Demonstrates a strong knowledge of Indigenous cultural practices, ceremonies, values and beliefs.
