Greater Victoria Harbour Authority (GVHA) is currently seeking a full-time Sustainability Manager to provide strategic and operational guidance and oversight to GVHA concerning sustainability and environmental initiatives. This role builds awareness and compliance internally and externally for GVHA’s Sustainability Program.
Ideally, you have post-secondary education in environmental science, sustainable community development or a related field. At least 3 years experience in a research or policy development field. A minimum of 3 years experience drafting policies and best practices is preferred. Experience implementing project management methodology is an asset. You have knowledge of local, regional, and international sustainability issues. Proficient with all MS Office applications.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong initiative and relationship building skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational skill set and attention detail, and enjoys working collaboratively in a diverse and busy office environment.
