Hosting a 45-minute IPS Discovery Session creates space for interested organizations and groups to explore where they are at in their reconciliation process and think about next steps.

Introducing the history and goals of reconciliation, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action, and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), In an IPS Discovery Session, participants can reflect on their own role in the transformative processes occurring in our communities throughout British Columbia and across Canada.

Along with an overview of both provincial and federal government policy directions, organizational and individual knowledge needs are discussed. Discovery Session participants have the opportunity to learn more about the topics in Indigenous Perspectives Society’s Reconciliation from an Indigenous Perspective training offerings.
